I’m beginning to be a bit of a downer, aren’t I? I’m hoping to get my groove back anytime now. It’s been a week since I got sick, and I’m just not improving very quickly. This morning the sore throat was back, though not bad enough to warrant meds. My energy is extremely low and I’m crabby. Benny told me today he wants his nice wife back. 😦 (Sorry honey!) What on earth is keeping me down???
Stress. That’s got to be it. I don’t slow down very well. We have been a freight train family for the past few months and in reality, we ‘re supposed to be a stage coach family. We want people to find rest in us and with us and instead I think we’ve been inviting others to be busy and running constantly with us. Maybe I’m not healing quickly because I need the rest. In all truthfulness I want the rest too, I just don’t want to feel bad to have to get it. I thought I had gotten good at just saying no and not volunteering for everything under the sun. I guess I need to take another look at my priorities and make sure my activities are in line with them.
I also need to declutter my life again. I am a born-organized person, but I have certain areas of my life that seem to be in constant chaos. For instance, I have paper piles that I have no idea what is in them. Flylady says babysteps will get me through it. Every once in awhile I fall off the Flylady wagon…time to climb back on. I need to tackle the mental clutter too. Oi! That’s a fun word – Thanks Billy! 🙂
Stress and clutter…that could be it…but right now I just need more sleep…
If you don’t frequent my other blog – I’d love your thoughts on the latest topic being discussed there.
Niki:
I heard someon who seemed to really know what she was talking about give an acrostic that helps her handle the traffic flow of paper through her office. The first four letters being the key. Every piece of paper that crosses our desks, she says, needs immediate action. One of the following:
T oss
R efer
A ct
F ile
Perhaps that is helpful.
Blessings to you and yours,
-bill

Jen and I have been praying for your health. We’ll continue to do so.
I hope you can land on your feet again soon and begin creeping forward, as opposed to running at break-neck speed.
Blessings.

I signed up for that flylady the last time you mentioned it, though I had to unsign because there were way too many emails everyday. I did learn a lot though, and it’s stuck with me (get dressed first thing so you don’t climb back into bed, clean the kitchen sink everyday etc, thanks for that!)
Hope you are feeling better soon (((HUGS)))
