Next Post: Some how-to tips, links, and pictures of my binder. Yes, there is a method to my madness.
***POST UPDATE: As per Kris’s request, I updated the post to include actual money spent and saved and checked all of my math – some of which was incorrect. I also want to add that some of the retail prices would have been cheaper at other stores, but after comparing the sale/coupon pricing, it was still cheaper to purchase the items at King Soopers and Walgreens. These posts only include the sale/coupon deals, and as you can tell by quantities, I am trying to create a SMALL stockpile for the months our financial support wanes and my grocery budget has to shrink. I think that is one of the smartest things our ancestors did – save and put stuff away to get through the leaner times. Happy saving, friends!***
I wanna win! I wanna win!

What’s with the weird icon that represents me!?!? I’m not mad!

LOL Monique – you’re the 2nd person to ask about that this week. It’s randomly generated because you don’t have your own gravatar account. I don’t like an of the generated options. They’re all boring and/or weird.
Thanks Amy & Heather!
You’re all in the drawing. đ

Good post as usual. I’m curious to know how cashiers and managers have responded to you. Any hostility or other difficulties? Or do you bring Benny with you?
I could’ve used a but more in-depth explanation of your coupon code. I was halfway through the article before I realized ‘1.00/1’ apparently meant one dollar off one while ‘1/1.00’ seemed to mean one for one dollar. Am I right?

Thanks Don. There was definitely some hostility and difficulties from a few checkers who think extreme couponers are out to “cheat the system”, but no, I don’t need Benny to come with me. I can intimidate people all by myself. đ Kidding.
Sorry for the confusion. I’m still learning how to post this stuff. You did a good job of deciphering my poor attempt at coupon coding. I’m going back and making a few changes.

lol Yes. At my coupon group we were talking about couponing being a “J” hobby. I laughed and told them I’d ask you if you agree. đ

Wow! I wish we had stores like that around here, I guess I’ll have to move to a bigger city. I’ve GOT to start getting serious about clipping coupons!

I’m so glad you’re doing this. I’m really not organized enough to be a couponer. I always save the ads, but they seem to just accumulate on my kitchen table until they expire. The ones I do clip I usually lose or forget about. Hopefully, I can pick up some pointers from you before baby #2 gets here. We’re really going to need to saved money then.
I’ll call you soon once my schedule sorts itself out. I just started a second job since my first one isn’t giving me enough hours.
Love ya,
Kris

Can you post how much you spent total and how much you saved?

Yes, Kris. I can. I didn’t think about it this time because the list was so much longer than the last shopping trip. I’ll update the post this afternoon when we’re finished with school for the day. đ
