I did everything but rest Wednesday and Thursday and had a big relapse last night. I always think I’m better before I really am. ~sigh~
Today was hard. I spent the day on the couch. So boring.
I hate channel surfing. I hate the same depressing news stories. I didn’t feel like researching sleep stuff, cooking lunch or supper, or anything else. Thank God I had a lasagna and garlic bread in the freezer so Max could make dinner.
The highlight of my day was watching 4 episodes of Extreme Couponing with my kids. I would LOVE to buy $1500 worth of groceries and only spend $30 after coupons. The kids were ready to break out the scissors and start clipping. Like I had the energy for that! I already clip coupons, but these people are amazing…or crazy. Probably a little of both. If I were better at clipping, I’d be able to give away more than I already do. It’s something to think about in a few days when I’m feeling better.
I hope all of you lovely people have a wonderful weekend. I’ll still be posting here every day this month if you feel like checking back in. If not, see you back here on Monday with a new topic.
Ciao!
I used to coupon back when we were newly married, living in Va and while I never got to the extreme category I was able to save quite a bit off the final grocery bill. It is very time consuming and takes forever to build up to a point where you are saving a significant amount. Here in SA the stores don’t give double or triple coupons (or at least as far as I know they don’t) so it isn’t possible to get the huge savings. I have watched that show a few times and I am always thinking about all the food banks and people they could be helping with that extra stuff instead of making their bathroom a storage closet. I liked the one where the guy gave away 1000 boxes of cereal to the food bank!
Hope you get to feeling better soon! Take care friend!

I think I could do it without becoming a hoarder, and I already share what I have with friends who need it. I shop at a food bank myself so I already save a ton of money on our grocery bill, but I need to do better. I’m thinking about how to make this work without it becoming a full-time job. I’ll be posting about this on Monday or Tuesday and would love your input!
I’m feeling a lot better today after truly resting the last 2 days. I’ll still take it easy for a few more days to be sure, but I’m functioning, cooking, cleaning, etc. again. Thanks for the well wishes, my friend. 🙂

I’m glad to know you are feeling better. I used to clip coupons when I lived in the city and could get a good newspaper. Now I live in a small town that is four blocks wide and eight blocks long. Literally!!!! We get a shopper, but it is all advertisement. The few coupons we get in there are usually clipless coupons.
