Chelf and her DH were here in Denver over the weekend and stayed with me and my family. We had a good time getting to know each other better. Chelf and I stayed up until 4 a.m. this morning discussing life, church issues, family, and friends. We did some touristy things while they were here . We visited the Colorado State Capitol Building at 10 lastnight. The pic above is them sitting by the step that reads, “One mile above see level”. We rode the entire line of the Free Mall Ride up and down the 16th Street Mall, and this morning we toured Celestial Seasonings in Boulder. But my favorite activity of the weekend was meeting some blogging friends at Starbucks yesterday afternoon.
L-R is Paula, Me, Heather, Jan, and Chelf. I was happy to introduce Chelf to our blogging girlfriends she hadn’t met yet. Her DH came with us too, but we asked him to play the part of the photographer for our chick pics. We talked and laughed and shared chocolate…some of the best things in life, right Jan? π We even entertained the people around us, which tends to happen when we get together. We also discussed what the proper name was for the person who does your hair – assuming you go somewhere to get your hair done. So, weigh in on the subject for me…
The person who does your hair is a:
- Hairdresser
- Beautician
- Stylist
- Barber
Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. There is technically no wrong answer, BUT your answer may date you…as in determine if you’re young & hip or an old gray hair. π lol I’m kidding.
Hairdresser…what does that make me? (says to self, please don’t say old, please don’t say old) π

Seeing as I’m too cheap….er, I mean frugal for a stylist, I call them a hairdresser too. Or “the lady that cuts my hair”. That’s probably more like it since I don’t have a regular person.
Glad you had fun. Wish I could have been there.

Even though I used the WRONG terminology, I am not a gray haired old lady! LOL.
What a great time we all had. π

Hairdresser! And I am not old. My sister went to beauty school and she does my hair. Does that make her a beautician? Supposedly.

Stylist or hairdresser, albeit rarely do I use that term….the others are too old π

Me. That is the term for the person who does my hair. On the car trip home, I was reading Kristin Billerbeck’s Split Ends. About a Hair Stylist who moves from Wyoming to Hollywood. Funny how it all comes together.
The lady that talked to me was so cute. She was short (my 5 foot 4 was taller than she), I won’t guess at her age, she was wearing typical (to my memory anyway) Colorado comfortable layers of clothes, and Red Crocs! The dog was a small thing, black and not a Chihuahua.
I will expound more when I actually blog about the vacation. I loved visiting with all the girls! Reminds me that I am not lonely, even when I may physically be alone.
