I am incredibly grateful to all my friends who prayed for me yesterday and today. I believe prayer moves the hand of God and I have felt Him moving in me today. I am also VERY grateful for my friend Heather who is the world’s greatest massage therapist. 😉 While at her house today, she asked me about my foot. I immediately felt dumb for not thinking of calling her a few weeks ago when it started hurting. I gave her a little more detail than I did on my blog, and told her about the visit to Dr. Zack. (She goes to him too.) She examined my foot and pressed on my leg, and being the expert on muscles that she is, she narrowed it down to a few certain muscles. It hurt. lol We think the pain in my foot is really a problem in my leg. She used a massaging torture device on me along with some biofreeze (it’s like icy hot) and told me to keep taking deep breaths. Evidently I tend to hold my breath when in pain. Not good. I left her house a little swollen and sore, but optimistic about the healing I know is coming. She is going to work on me again next week if I still need it. Between her, Dr. Zack, all of my praying friends, and the Great Healer Himself, I’m in good hands! Heather is one of the biggest blessings I’ve received while living in Denver. Not because of her massage skills – this is actually the first time she’s worked on me – but because she’s a great friend. We are iron sharpening iron when we’re together and I love her like a sister! I appreciate your continued prayers as I heal. The fatigue and achiness is a little better today, but still there. I’m resting.
Heather smiled at me as she told Benny that I needed to take it easy for a few days. She said I had permission to sit on the couch watching soap operas and eating bon-bons all day. Benny said, “How is that different from any other day?” Before I could punch him in the arm, Heather replied, “She doesn’t usually watch soaps.” Don’t you just feel the love from these two??
Tomorrow is the first day of Friday School. Our whole family is excited. It’s a nice finish to this week. We love Friday school! I’m also looking forward to Saturday. I think it’s going to be another pajama day at our house…we’ll see. All I know is that I’ll be resting..
I’m off to watch Blades of Glory with Benny…
I’ll be praying for you. Get some really good supportive shoes – like running shoes and take it easy. No standing or heals for a while.

To my parallel universe self: (or so it seems to be!)
I TOO am having foot trouble. Mine is Planter’s Fasciitis. (No, not to be confused with Planter’s Warts. Totally different!) A very painful heel… caused by an over exerted tendon in the whatever it was the doctor said. (A little ADD, I was prolly distracted by something shiny.)
The doc ordered $400 shoes. I snickered. Riiiight. You can see ME wearing $400 orthapedic shoes? (No, it’s more than just the money… I’m just too vain. AS IF!) So, I settled for some “halo” thingy that goes under my heel. Dunno if it works. But, I like to pretend it does…
I will continue to pray for the feet of those that bring the good news to the lost and hurting…
