So the gray is gone (sorry Chris) and I am SO happy. There will be more changes here after this weekend. My friend Heather is coming over to help me with my template changes I couldn’t make myself. I could probably spend a few more hours trying to figure it out, but that would be crazy since she already knows what the heck she’s doing. But I don’t think I’ve done too badly getting the current changes made. I love the header picture. Benny found it for me. If you’re looking for something new and exciting for your own blog, I encourage you to check out the lady who designed the template I chose. She has several FREE (and cool) templates for Blogger at her website. Check her stuff out!
This is more “me” than the gray, it just needs a few updates. I won’t tell you what they are, just check back here next Monday to see for yourself. 😉
Well, Pete is feeling much better though he was a bit cranky today. However, I have caught whatever he had, so if you could transfer your prayers for health to me I’d be so grateful. I slept until noon today, then spent the rest of the day on the couch watching T.V. Just so you know, I don’t consider that a fun afternoon. Have I mentioned lately how wonderful my husband is? He kept the kids out of our bedroom so I could rest, he gave me complete control of the remote while I lounged on the couch, he took care of the meals today, and he tucked them all in for bedtime. I love that man! I need to heal quickly for a lot of reasons, but one of the best reasons is this: JettyBetty is coming to Denver this weekend. I got to meet her last summer and we look forward to seeing each other again soon. I really enjoy any time I get with this lovely woman. She’s been encouraging me and loving me over the web almost since my first blog post. Lucky Me!
I’m off to make another cup of tea…
I love the new template – looks great!

Aside from the fact that the chick at the top looks kinda “necked” (as we’d say out in the country), I dig it. I know she isn’t, she just looked that way at first glance. It made me laugh. I love the new look. I’m looking forward to see what changes you will be making.
I’ll be praying for you and Benny. He’s a good dude. Feel better, Sis.

This comment was emailed to me, but I didn’t want everyone else to miss Adam’s comments. Afterall, he’s the one who introduced me to blogging in the first place! So here’s Adam’s comment. Check out his blog at http://www.adamcopeland.blogspot.com.
I tried to leave a comment this morning on your blog, but blogger’s
been giving me trouble with signing in with my google account. Anyway, the template looks great; that picture and writing remind me of Alias, so of course I love it.
Also, have you enjoyed Lost the past two weeks? It’s been great. Last night wasn’t as action-packed as the previous week, but the
storytelling is so good and they do such a great job of mixing
suspense, emotion, intrigue, and humor in that storytelling — I love it. I think, too, the excitement of having a new episode each week is compelling after having been without it for a few months. I’m watching 24 on Monday nights, and as high-charged as that show is, I still prefer Lost. Not sure if it’s the mystique, the emotional connection to the characters, the way it transcends it’s setting and allows
life-questions to be examined, or Kate alone that makes it my
preference (all were legit except that last one…kind of), but it’s
an incredible bag of goodies. Anyway, it’s a fun ride to be on. I read a guy who writes for Entertainment Weekly named Jeff “Doc” Jensen; he’s the guru of sorts about Lost-things. (www.ew.com) He always gives
interesting insights and questions (and gets to talk to the producers
on occasion too…how cool is that).
Now that I’ve shared my undying love for a serial television series, I’m going to jet. Hope you have a great weekend.

I’m glad everyone likes it! 😉 And Jared, even if she is “necked” – which she could be I guess – nothing is showing. Think of it as a metaphor – I’ve said many times that I’m nakedly open and honest on my blog…haha
And Adam, Benny thought about Alias when he saw the template too! So welcome to our geekdom. LOL I’m so glad you haven’t given up on me too. I think I told you – you’re my only friend left that is devoted to LOST like I am. Let’s enjoy it together brother (said in my best Desmond voice) 😉

I love the new look. I do have to say that the writing is a little dark. But otherwise it is great.

Love the nakedly honest analogy to the woman (even though it came about second-hand and wasn’t part of your original intent!)

Well I am certainly impressed with the new look. And I love the girl who looks “kinda necked” … but is really a “metaphor.”
You have done well Nikki.
