Today I find myself with a bit of website envy. I’ve been surfing some blogs this afternoon while the kids napped, and now I’ve fallen victim to the comparison game. ha ha I love pink, but I got so sick of the blah shades that Blogger offered, so I switched. The truth is that I hate gray, but I like the general look (wide columns) of this template. I know I could spruce it up a bit and finally add some links other than the blogs I read, but when? I’ll get right on that after my host of other responsibilities as wife, mother, teacher, laundry goddess, professional wiper of counters, toilets, and bums, and the list goes on.
Gray does NOT say “Niki Nowell”. So, what can I do FOR FREE, with time limited to naptime and after 8:30 p.m. when my three little rascals are all tucked in their beds for the night? I’m open to suggestions…
My favorite colors are green, pink and blue. I love flowers, books, and people. I’m no longer part of any blogrings, and I use blogrolling.com which should make transfering my blog buddy list pretty easy. Any ideas yet? No? Well I’ll wait then.
I’m not one of those people who switches templates every few months because they get bored. I reserve that skill for rearranging my livingroom. I am seriously considering switching to WordPress, or even Typepad. They seem more user friendly and have cooler templates from what I can see. Have any of you done the comparison thing? Or maybe I just need to read “Blogger For Dummies”. 😉 Somebody please save me from myself!
Niki: I agree. Gray definitely is not you. I am certainly not savvy on all of this, but just from among the templates on here, I like Son of Moto, and thisaway green for you. Or maybe even rounders 3 or 4. I had a lot of fun playing with the colors on my blog. So even if you have a fairly plain template, you can jazz it up with the colors (under fonts and colors). I don’t know about the other sites, as I haven’t checked them out. I did have fun setting up my blog, but was a bit disappointed there weren’t more choices.

Why you knocking grey, Niki? I think it is quite flattering for a blog. You mess with grey, you mess with me!
Haha.

Eat your heart out – ha ha ha (evil laugh…)! My sister’s a web site designer…
Seriously, your blog looks fine. Clean, easy to read and leave a comment. I hope mine (the “Original Faith” one) is just as easy, sis just put it up several days ago and I did have a couple glitches.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Sis. I hope it’s a special one for you and Benny.
By the way, you have me thinking about going to WordPress. I went over there and checked it out. (As Bugs Bunny would say) You ain’t just whistlin’ Dixie, sister!

I like WordPress myself (which, BTW, you need to update your link to!)
I wish I knew how to spruce your up, but until then….I guess living in a shade of grey is better than living in black & white, right?
