The six degrees of separation theory continues to be proved through my life and the people I know.
On Tuesday, Heather aka MommyHAM aka The Red-headed Step Child, and I met after months of posting on each other’s blogs. She lives an hour away from me! As she already posted on her blog, we took our friendship to the next level last Saturday by talking on the phone for 2 hours, which led to her spending the night with my family in Denver on Tuesday. She had a 3-day training session here in Denver and hadn’t made sleeping arrangements for Tuesday night yet, so I invited her to stay with us. We had a great time swapping stories of our childhoods, marriages, what we think of our mutual blogging friends, and a lot more. Through our marathon phone conversation, we also learned that her day care provider is the daughter of an old friend of mine, a woman I used to know at Soul Quest, the high school camp I did before Zenith. She is also semi-acquainted with the Turner family, my friends that we’ve been praying for – the two kids were in the car accident a few months ago.
It’s a small, small world. I enjoyed my time with Heather. I took her to my favorite pizza place downtown – Il Vicinos. My worship band rehearsal was cancelled, so we came home and stayed up ’til well after midnight talking like schoolgirls and even called Jared about one of his comments on the S, L, and M blog (not that late – though he is on the West coast). We are definitely going to have to get together again soon. I know our kids would have a great time together as well. Check out her blog sometime. We took a picture together, but I didn’t like how I looked, so I’m not going to post it. ;}- Unfortunately she’ll probably post it over on her blog. Oh well…
You are right Niki. If it had not been for the www I would never have met you. And I would be poorer for it. I enjoy reading your stuff as does my wife though she rarely comments on anything … even my own blog!!!
Shalom,

That procrastinator post? Uh, yeah, I related all too well with it.
It’s been a crazy – kinda craptastic weekend – and now Monday is mostly over. *sigh*

Not too late for a couple of crazy chicks up to no good (LOL). It was a quarter past ten. Good thing I’m a night owl. I always like hearing from you, Sis. It was pretty funny. I’m glad you two had a good time together.
