That’s Pete’s big problem. UGH!! He was retested for his food allergies, most of them are still there. His symptoms are not improving because he has a yeast problem. We’re back to square one, but we have some new answers and a new hope so I guess that’s good. Dr. Brian had me order something called Threelac to combat the yeast, then we go back in a few weeks to reevaluate. Here’s the fun part…the foods Pete has to avoid completely are:
All Nuts, Wheat Flour, White Flour, Barley, Oats, All Dairy, All Soy, and Sesame
Do you know what that means? He’s back to Fruits, Veggies, and Meats. My poor son can’t have two of his favorite foods in the world – Cereal and Crackers. But, he LOVES dried fruit so I’ll spoil him with that instead.
Dr. Brian Martin is the man who is helping us, and evidently he’s an expert on yeast. His website is www.candidadoctor.com if you or someone you know has yeast issues, this is a good place for information. I’ll be an expert by the end of the weekend!
Thanks for the prayers – please keep them up!
Give him jello… petey told me once that he LOVED jello π

I checked out the sight and took the test. I think we’re on to something here. The only problem is how expensive the “yeast killer” is. I’m anxious to see how Petey does on it.
Hopefully this is the answer for Petey that we’ve all been praying for.

Very interesting–I didn’t know 2 year boys had yeast problems–but I pray you are on to something that will help him feel better!
It’s soooo easy to explain to a 2 year old why they can’t have crackers and cereal! ;-(

Bless your heart, friend. Yet, I know the same thing has helped me with allergies in the past — lots of fruit, veggies and meat. My oldest is being evaluated next month for a gluten allergy that has been causing her tummy problems. We will definitely be praying for your whole family, as we well know how the problems for one ripple out to all.

I sympathize with the poor kids being gluten free myself. I would like to give words of encouragement about living on a diet absent of flour, barley, and oats, but basically after 5 years now all I can say is it “STINKS!!!”
I don’t have the dairy problem myself, but can he have marshamllows? I love to snack on Marshmallows since being diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant.
Just a thought π
